Obtaining expertise firsthand from Scotch distillers, he adopted the authentic ways of making whisky and established his own style without any compromise. Nikka Whisky stays true to traditions such as direct coal-fired distillation, which has become quite rare even in Scotland, and keeps progressing at the same time to pursue quality whisky. Masataka’s dream and passion is the starting point of Nikka Whisky and is inherited until today.
