Description
After some time in the decanter this reveals a really wonderful, open and perfumed nose, with Cabernet violet scents, dried damson fruits and cranberries, juniper berry and a fresh, smoky smoulder which veers towards crushed chalk and oyster shells. A beautifully cool and textured palate follows, bright, fresh and peppery, carrying dried and savoury fruits, with floral black olives, dried plum and dried blackcurrant. There is plenty of energy here, peppery and acid fresh, with a faded ribbon of broadly grained tannins. Long, charged, tightly structured and exhibiting beautiful classicism.
